Are you ready to gain freedom from dieting and make peace in your relationship with food and your body?

Join Dr. Whitney Spears, clinical psychologist, for this small virtual group experience to learn about Intuitive Eating, an approach that teaches you how to cultivate a healthy relationship with food and your body. Dr. Spears will be presenting an educational, interactive, and experiential workshop based on the approach that was developed by Evelyn Tribole, M.S., R.D. and Elyse Resch, M.S., R.D., F.A.D.A , as well as, her own clinical expertise with eating disorders and positive body image.

At the end of Part 2, you will be able to:

  • Understand the last 4 core principles of Intuitive Eating

  • Find satisfaction in your eating and learn fullness cues

  • Explore ways to cope with your emotions and respect your body with compassion

  • Shift your focus on how it feels to move your body and honor your health

Connection Without Infection: A Free Therapist Led Support Group for COVID-19

In the current climate of uncertainty and social distancing, Del Ray Psych & Wellness invites you to join a new 30-day ongoing Facebook-based support group, Connection Without Infection.” This support group is open to all adults who are looking for positive engagement with fellow community members for the purpose of coping with the stressors related to the current pandemic. Dr. Lauren Fisher & Dr. Whitney Spears will be moderating the group, sharing resources, and providing interactive opportunities for members. Please note that this group is ongoing and does not require you to be online at a certain point in time. You can utilize the resources at your convenience.

This is a free group. Donations are welcome for the therapists who are volunteering their time. 25% of all donations will be given to other small businesses who are struggling in the Alexandria community. Please feel free to email any questions to Dr. Whitney Spears at drspears@delraypsych.com. We look forward to having you join us!

Dr. Atara Noiade, DAOM, MBioSci, MSci, practices Chinese Medicine including Acupuncture and holds a DAOM (Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), M.BioSci. from Johns Hopkins in Biosciences. She is an NCCAOM Diplomate in Chinese Medicine and has served as Executive BOD of the AAAOM, President of the NM OM association, and National liaison of the WA OM association. She has taught seminars in the US and supervised clinic at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Dublin.  Dr. Noiade now practices in Del Ray, bringing her expertise in Chinese Medicine to Del Ray Psych & Wellness.
